Happy 4th of July!

glitters

I just got done with my entire cleaning chore from bathrooms to bedrooms to kitchen to hallway and to the main living space.  Thanks God, I got done earlier.  My little girl is still sleeping and once she’s up I still have to change her beddings.

We have friends coming over for the 4th of July.  Kent and Nettie will be staying here tonight, that’s why I have to prepare my girl’s bedroom for the couple.  My bug will be sleeping with us tonight.  For sure it’s going to be fun, you think?

We will just have a little barbecue here at home and will go have a dip in the pool tomorrow.  Dave and Tess and their kids will be coming over, too so it will be fun.  For sure, they will have a blast at the pool.  I just hope that we will have a good weather whole day tomorrow.

How about you, guys?  What’s cooking for your for the 4th of July?  I wish that every one of us will have a wonderful celebration with family and friends.  Enjoy the fireworks!

lack of communication in the workplace

My husband comes home all the time and talks about the complete lack of communication in the work place.  Not only do the employees not work together as a team, they are usually spending a fair amount of time trying to stab each other in the back.  Even when an employee goes to speak to a manager, the manager says he will address it but never does probably because he lacks communication skills.  One of the big things my husband noticed was there is also a complete lack of modern day technology when it comes to addressing office matters and the general flow of work throughout his work place. What we really think his work place needs is good Market Communications.

To really have a work place that flows well and gets the customer in and out in a reasonable amount of time, you have to have a good working business model.  You cannot have a situation where a service is being marketed and employees are thinking of themselves and not the customer.  A company needs good IP solutions, voice recording, high speed data, and among many other good things, wireless and managed solutions.

I am hoping that my husband’s company he works for can tap into some of these modern day ideas.  I know it affects his work performance when he cannot get his job done because of interruptions outside the business model.  With market solutions, he can get on with his job, have a better day, provide a quality experience for the customer and hopefully make a better living.

what's your favorite color?

What is your favorite color?  Mine is obviously red as you can see in this site!  Hubby loves red, too.  That’s why it’s no wonder we used it as our motif during our wedding about five years ago.  We just love RED.  I like the red fire truck, hubby’s red Camaro, red roses, red candles, rubies and red accents in home furnishings.

Here’s what I found on what this color means.  Read on.

Blood pressure, respiration, and muscle tension all increase on initial exposure to red. But, this jazzy hue also boosts spirits and stimulates creativity, conversation, and the appetite (which is why it is used in many restaurants). Red is also a popular color in casinos—people are more likely to gamble in a red environment than in, say, a blue one. Rooms with a lot of red feel warmer, heavier, and time seems to pass more slowly in them. Red may increase passion, but also aggression, anger, and restlessness—it's probably not the best choice of color for a bedroom. In clothing red conveys energy, power, and leadership, but can also signal romance and sensuality, depending on the garment.

An interesting note: when you have two objects of identical shape and weight, one red and one blue, most people will think the red one is heavier. (Might be one reason to rethink that red wardrobe! On the other hand, red accents could perk up your image.)

investing in our future

The big question today is how do you invest your money?  The stock market is a big risk and many have lost their money there for sure.  We have been looking for a safe place to put our money so that it can gain value.  Even our family is having the same troubles as most when it comes to finances.  We really want to plan for our daughter’s future.  We looked into bank CDs as an investment option.

Now the biggest question for us is what bank do we use and who offers the best CD rates.  We found out that it varies from bank to bank and from state to state.  We wanted to find the best bank rates possible so we found a web site that compares these all in one place.  At selectcdrates.com, we found a great place to compare all these rates.

When we get a bit of extra money, we will invest in CDs because they are safer as an investment.  Every little bit over a long period of time matters.  The sooner we invest the better for our finances later.  Everyone should plan for their child’s future and even their retirement.

alleluia to alarm clocks!

glitters

Here’s a thing worth sharing to all of you!

Give an Alarm Clock Alleluia

When your alarm goes off in the morning,

open your eyes and repeat this line from the Psalms:

"This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad."

Commit to living in gratitude for the day, and you'll soon notice

how much happier your days can become.

In this fast-paced world, we struggle to find time to pray during our hectic schedules.  This is just one of the several suggestions for quick ways to pray which will help us catch a few moments to talk to God.  I stumbled on this at belief.net, this site is just so amazing.  Come on, guys let’s try it, okay?  I am sure giving our alarm clock an alleluia will give us the positive vibe to face what is in store for the day.

a little flush goes a long way!

With everything going green these days and the price of utilities going up, there are many things we can do to help with not only the cost to us but we can help with the environment.  I know that hubby is always concerned about the utility bills and always mentions our water bill from the town of Kremmling.  It is 100 dollars no matter what and if you use over 8000 gallons per month it then goes up from there.  How do we save money here?  With a yard to take care of and a family you know for sure we could use a lot of water costing us dearly.  We never hear what the town might be doing to save energy, but we can do something ourselves to help the environment.  A funny thing to talk about is the toilets in your home.  They really use a lot of water when flushed unless you are using dual flush toilet.

With 3 toilets in the house we went and installed low flow toilets.  There are many models to choose from.  You need to make sure you get a good one because when there is low flow, you worry about them plugging up.  We don’t want that if you know what I mean.  With these low flow toilets, we save water This allows us to water the yard more and keep our place looking nice outside. and we noticed that our utility bill from the town water hasn’t gone over the allowed limit for a long time.

When the town really never comes up with ideas to save energy because they want to bill you, we like to take advantage of becoming more green and living a green life.  With a little help with others doing the same thing, maybe we can make a better world for our children in the future.  We all know that energy isn’t going to become cheaper and fresh water is getting in short supply.  I am glad that hubby is helping our family do our part for a brighter future.

we love camaro!

Today my husband drove home a new Camaro during his lunch time.  It was a new car that someone already purchased.   It was blue and looked bigger that the Camaro that we own.  I remember that we seen it at the car show but was not able to get that close. It has a bigger back seat than ours and looks like an older Camaro.

It was a really good looking car but we still like ours better.  Of course! My husband has spent a lot of time with his car and we always hope to keep it because it is worth keeping.  It too is in very good shape and with the proper care we can enjoy it for years to come.  I still did like what I seen in the new one.  Good job Chevrolet.  This car is going to be a big hit.

your female plastic surgeon

There are some really cool options when it comes to plastic surgery these days. I don’t know if I’ll ever need plastic surgery in my life but I was curious about it because who knows what may come up down the road. I was on line and found a female plastic surgeon. She is a plastic surgeon from southern California with a philosophy that states she is there to provide the best surgery possible and the best follow up care.

That’s really good because I know if I ever wanted plastic surgery I would like a close follow up later. You hear horror stories these days about people who get surgery and then are sent home and left with all these questions and a complete lack of follow up care. Thank goodness for a female plastic surgeon that can understand me and all my concerns when it comes to plastic surgery. I may never need it but who know what the future might bring.

in the news tonight...

We seen on the news tonight that a boy died in Boulder riding a bull at a rodeo.  How sad, huh!  He was only 12 years old and was riding in the Little Britches Rodeo.  We have some really good friends in a town where we used to live that like to do rodeo also.  I think this is good for kids to compete but maybe they should come up with some more safety measures to prevent young death.

My husband said when he was in high school; he tried riding a bull with his best friend.  He said that it was really a cool experience for him but he was off as quick as he got on.  He decided it wasn’t for him at that point and took up watching rodeo instead.  He said it was safer to watch instead of getting beat up by an animal with such a big temper.  I’m glad hubby didn’t ride bulls for a living because he never had to suffer all the broken bones we always hear about with rodeo riders.

your politician's plastic surgeon

With today’s high expectations I wonder what the government officials do for their plastic surgery. You know they can’t all look that perfect; they must use some plastic surgery to keep them beautiful in the public’s eyes. What our politicians need is a Washington DC Plastic Surgeon. They have to look good to get elected it seems. I’ve noticed that when you see a politician who is in the public’s eyes, they have their own make up and I’m sure they have has some plastic surgery.

There is the media also that is always in Washington DC covering our government and the news. I know that if you’re not beautiful on TV you don’t have a job. I bet they use plastic surgery for themselves while in Washington. Maybe my hubby can try a different career someday and school himself to become a plastic surgeon. I know there is a big demand for them because it seems everyone is having it done these days.
